IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS
CELLPHONE: We recommend bringing a fully charged cellphone for emergencies.
FOOD: We recommend bringing a small snack to restore your energy during the walk.
WATER: We walk in the mornings, so the sun usually won’t be too much of a problem. However, we still recommend bringing enough water for up to two hours of walking in direct sunlight, just to be safe.
BATHROOM: Not all trailheads have restrooms available. Please plan accordingly.
EMERGENCIES: Make sure you begin your return walk to the trailhead/parking lot before your food or water supplies run out, and before you start getting tired or overheating. If you become unconscious while walking with the group, the minister will be required to contact Muskegon Emergency Services, and you will be responsible for any charges related to your rescue.
